PUBLICATION OF DELHI-UTTARAKHAND TELEPHONE DIRECTORY
There was a dire need to have information about the people of Uttarakhand inhabiting in the National Capital Region. It was noticed that the Uttarakhandis were keeping themselves aloof and not interacting with each other. Interestingly, they were not aware of their neighbours, colleagues etc.
In order to have a know-how system about the Uttarakhandis of NCR, the Club made a maiden attempt and brought out a huge compilation of the people of Uttarakhand inhabiting in NCR with their name, telephone number, their home town address etc. The first edition of Delhi Uttarakhand Telephone Directory was released by the Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dikshit at a function held in Kamani Auditorium on 26th July, 2003. The maiden Directory got appreciation from all segments of the society and virtually became a search tool in the house of each Uttarakhandi since it has a data of over 50,000 Uttarakhandis.
During February, 2005, the Club published the second edition of Delhi-Uttarakhand Telephone Directory. Now, the Club is brining out the next edition of Delhi-Uttarakhand Telephone Directory which is under compilation.
