FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO OLD AGED PERSONS
WHO HAVE NO OTHER SOURCE OF EARNING

While gathering feedback about the formation of Uttarakhand Club, it has been noticed that there are a significant number of old aged persons in Uttarakhand who are spending  their lives at the mercy of co-villagers since they do not have any other means of livelihood.  With the passage of time, they became too old to cultivate their fields.

With the help of broad minded entrepreneurs and the Members of the Club who have volunteered to bear the expenditure, indefinitely or for a limited period, and also the gigantic efforts put on by the Club, a Monthly Pension Scheme has been launched at the time of establishment of the Uttarakhand Club.  Since then a monthly pension of Rs.200/- per month is being sent through Money Orders to the people identified by the Club.

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION DURING NATURAL CALAMITIES

The Uttarakhand Club has also come forward at the time of natural calamities which the Country faced over a period of time.  For example, the Club contributed Rs. 21,000 in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund at the time of Tsunami disaster.  The Club also contributed Rs.57,783 in Prime Minister's Relief Fund during October, 2005  when the country witnessed the disastorous Earthquake in Jammu & Kashmir.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS

It has always been the objective of the Uttarakhand Club to look after the well being of the Uttarakhandis who require assistance - financial, physical or moral.  The Club has been taking care of the people who require any assistance irrespective of their religion, caste and creed.

The Abu Dhabi Branch of the Club provided financial assistance of Rs.30,000/- to a Phillipine resident who was suffering from Cancer.  The Branch also took initiative and provided a financial assistance of Rs.1.62 lakh to Shri Kamal Singh Rawat, who passed away untimely at Abu Dhabi.  This help provided a much needed moral support to the family of the deceased.

The Club is still striving hard and making all efforts to help the needy one.
